Myron McClellan

Reverend Doctor Myron McClellan has been a spiritual guidance counselor and theologian since the 1960's. He began his work informally when he was teaching in the religion department of Princeton University in the '60's and '70's, and later formally when he began teaching classes in spiritual awareness in Colorado and California in the mid '70's. He has studied many counseling modalities, but received his most thorough training from the great mystic and clairvoyant Corabelle Olgevie. His earliest mentoring was by the composer and mystic John Cage.

Myron is a professional pianist and composer known for the spiritual and healing qualities of his music, an adventure traveler who has climbed to 21,000 feet on Mount Everest, and a contemplative who has spent many years in silent prayer. He has invented devices to counteract the harmful effects of electromagnet radiation, and has taught spirituality at Esalen Institute, Wesleyan and Bucknell Universities, and many churches, and lectured around this country and abroad.

"In my practice, everything is seen as a part of one's evolving spiritual learning. Therefore, nothing is seen as 'wrong,' though some things may be seen as not particularly useful. When something isn't useful, we give guidance on how to eliminate the action, thought, feeling or state of being. In each session, we look to see the big picture of the person's journey and what the present issues are about in that larger context. We look to see what may be the underlying causes of illnesses, depression, isolation, conflict with others, spiritual despair, and other maladies of body, mind and spirit. And there is almost always some advice on how to expand spiritually, to love more completely, to be more fully in touch with feelings, and to have an all-around healthier, happier lifestyle."
